I enjoy playing music so much in my classroom. It just breaks up the day, and sometimes when things are rolling along in the same way, its fun to just do something different. I have to mainstream and use specific music catered to small children because so much of what’s on the radio is just inappropriate for children.
There’s a lot of research about how music helps the brain to learn. I’ve never mastered the art of using it effectively.

My son is often offended by the music they play in the high school between classes. As a parent, I’m so grateful that you are sensitive to issues with music, but still play it for all of its benefits.

The beauty of music is in the ear of the beholder. Glad you are aware of what is appropriate for your kiddos- one reason I play lots of classical and instrumental.
