Maybe I have a greater understanding of fidgety students because I am fidgety. I am sitting in my second workshop session in a day-long teacher workshop day. My legs are bouncing and I am sketching and writing.
I often wonder about the people sitting around me. Am I driving them crazy? Are they thinking I am rude? Ignoring? Inattentive?
I don’t sit still well. I actually pay better attention if my body is moving.
I hope I am not bothering the people around me.
