Today I received and email from the Dean of students with a picture in the body of the email. She had written, “In the most loving way this made me think of you.”

Years ago, while working in a day-treatment facility, I decided that I was just going to be me. The staff was a unique group of people and the job required a sense of humor. I am silly, goofy, self-deprecating, and spazzy. It is my way of putting kids at ease and connecting with people. Years ago I may have been worried about how people perceive me as weird. At my age, I embrace it.
